WWU Celebrates WECU's Support

Over the past many years WECU's impact on Western has been transformational. Last night at the WWU women's basketball game, we recognized WECU for their recent half million-dollar commitment to WWU. 

This incredible gift will benefit the entire university. Scholarship support has always been a priority for WECU, and this gift will provide several scholarships, helping our students by providing critical resources that ease the financial burden of attending college and making a difference in students' lives.

WECU will proudly continue to be the sponsor of WECU Court in Carver Gymnasium. They will also be sponsors of our annual scholarship luncheons, the Great Puzzle Hunt and will be the presenting sponsor of Back2Bellingham May 19 through 21.

We want to extend a special thank you to the President and CEO of WECU, Jennifer Kutcher, a proud Western graduate who also serves on our Foundation Board of Directors as well as Jeff Dykstra, Executive Vice President at WECU and dad to players Avery and Riley. Their leadership and commitment to supporting education has been instrumental in the strong relationship between WECU and Western.
