Student Ambassadors

About Us

The WWU Student Ambassadors are a diverse group of student leaders who serve as representatives of the student body at events and donor meetings hosted by the President and the Western Foundation. Ambassadors seek to build and reinforce the relationships between the university and its most dedicated constituents by sharing their individual Western experiences, passions, and dreams with friends, trustees, board members, elected officials, donors, faculty, staff, students, and other campus and community leaders. Their experiences exemplify the ways in which donor support advances Western and how Western impacts the world. The Student Ambassadors are managed by the Donor Relations team at the Western Foundation.

Becoming an Ambassador

What can the ambassador program do for you?

Build Professionalism: Monthly trainings cover a wide variety of topics chosen to refine the skills needed in all careers. From networking via coffee chats with alumni to using social networks as tools to connect with industry professionals, the trainings are timely and relevant.
Flexible Scheduling: The ability to choose which projects and events to sign up for ensures that this program can accommodate any schedule.

Create A Western Network: Creating connections with donors, staff, alumni, and constituents is at the core of this opportunity.

Learn New Skills: Staff a professional event and share your Western story in a compelling way,  design and edit video content, host a panel discussion and professional lecture, and much more!
