It's time to register! We've planned a wonderful weekend for you and your fellow Black Unified Society Alumni that will include so many fun activities including tours of Alma Clark Glass Hall, the Multicultural Center, dinner where you can catch up with friends, and brunch in the Viking Union, and a no-host happy hour!
Join us for all or some of the activities during the weekend!

Dr. Herbert L. West, Ph.D., Speaker
Born during the Jim Crow Era in a segregated North Carolina town, Dr. West became involved in the civil rights movement as a teenager, participating in protests with the NAACP. After earning a BS in Sociology from North Carolina Central University in 1969, he completed his MA and Ph.D. in Sociology and Geography at the University of Minnesota.
He taught at institutions like the University of Maryland Baltimore County and Howard University, presenting numerous conference papers on African American history and culture. His publications include works on lynching in America and the distribution of the Black population in Baltimore. Recognized for his teaching and service, he received various honors and coordinated educational tours for students both in the U.S. and abroad.

- We've reserved a small block of rooms at the Four Points Sheraton on Lakeway. Call (360) 671-1011 and mention the WWU BUSA Reunion to secure a room. We recommend booking early!
- Bellingham and Whatcom County offer a variety of hotels for Western Washington University guests. Most hotels offer discounts to WWU guests, click here to view the hotel list.

Visitor Parking at WWU
- We have reserved parking lots 6V and 9G. If the lots are full, please see instructions below to park in the C lots, which are free during the weekend.
- Mon-Fri after 4:30pm and all hours on weekends: parking is free in the C lots and 12G by Fairhaven College.
