Lindsey MacDonald

Lindsey MacDonald is the Associate Director at Western Washington University’s Sustainability Engagement Institute where she administers a Climate Leadership Certificate program, teaches sustainability courses, and supports the university in transitioning to a more sustainable campus, including in our food systems. She is passionate about engaging students in real-world, hands-in-the-soil work to address the climate crisis. Lindsey holds a Master of Science in Conservation Ecology from the University of Michigan.

Dora Vaughan ('22)

Dora Vaughan facilitates the Housing Sustainability program in University Residences-Facilities where she coordinates student educators and programming to help residents save money, positively impact the environment, and promote personal wellness. Dora founded the Residence Hall Reuse Program in 2019. Dora has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Leadership Studies from Western Washington University.

Kira Davis

Kira Davis is a senior currently serving as the ASWWU Vice President for Sustainability. She grew up in Ames, Iowa and moved to Washington in 2019 to attend Wilderness Awareness School, where she still works as an outdoor educator on the weekends. She is majoring in Marine and Coastal Science and minoring in Environmental Policy and is passionate about the interconnectedness of science and social issues.

Liam Pratt

Liam is a senior majoring in Environmental Studies with a focus on Policy, Politics, and Governance, and minoring in Environmental Justice. He also holds a certificate in Climate Leadership. Throughout his four years at Western, Liam has been deeply involved in various student-led movements, including food justice initiatives, forest defense, and fossil fuel divestment campaigns. His leadership roles have included serving on the student senate, acting as the AS Vice President for Sustainability, and founding the Students for Climate Action club. Currently, he is the AS Vice President for University Operations. Liam is dedicated to empowering students to engage in the meaningful causes that they are passionate about.

Kate Beck

Kate coordinates the implementation of Western's Sustainability Action Plan, reports on Western's sustainability progress, brings people together to work towards Western's sustainability goals. Prior to working at Western, Kate worked as a regional planner and policy researcher in public utilities and transportation. Kate has a Masters in City Planning and Masters in Public Health from UC Berkeley.
