Description
Check out this video to watch the Strategies for Financial Success.
Worried about the economy? WWU alumnus Paul Merriman ('66) can help. He has a passion for helping others achieve financial freedom. His foundation, The Merriman Financial Education Foundation, collaborates regularly on programs with the College of Business and Economics. He has also helped Western create the Merriman Financial Literacy Program, which launched last year.
As part of the presentation, Paul is going to award $1,000 to one lucky recipient, and show how that money—if invested—can possibly grow over time to $1 million! Everyone who registers online (by noon May 29) and then attends the event will be eligible for the drawing.
Merriman will have advice on how to manage student debt, how to start working toward your financial goals even on a limited paycheck, and how to work your way toward retiring with millions!
Featuring:
Paul Merriman is a nationally recognized authority on mutual funds, index investing and asset allocation and 1966 alumnus of Western Washington University.
After retiring in 2012 from Merriman Wealth Management, which he founded in 1983, Paul created The Merriman Financial Education Foundation, dedicated to providing investors of all ages with free information and tools to make informed decisions in their own best interest and successfully implement their retirement savings program.
Paul is author of eight books, including, We’re Talking Millions! 12 Simple Ways to Supercharge Your Retirement; Financial Fitness Forever: 5 Steps to More Money, Less Risk, and More Peace of Mind; Live It Up Without Outliving Your Money and the “How To Invest” series.
Paul is also the founder of financial literacy efforts at Western, and inspires the work of the Merriman Financial Literacy Program, which helps students improve their money management skills and financial wellness through multiple channels.
