Does making financial decisions stress you out or are you carefree and impulsive when it comes to spending money? This session will explore the factors that shape our attitudes about money and decision making.
- How our upbringing, past experiences and cultural influence have shaped our thoughts on money
- The role of emotions and cognitive biases in financial choices
- Understanding the psychological aspects of financial decision making
- How self-awareness can help move us toward more rational financial decision making

Certified Financial Planner
and Certified Wealth Strategist
A native of Seattle, Ed made Whatcom County his home after graduating from the College of Business and Economics at WWU with a degree in Finance. He is a Certified Financial Planner and Certified Wealth Strategist having assisted individuals and their families with wholistic financial planning and lending needs. He served as Vice President with Key Private Bank having been licensed as a general securities representative through the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). He retains Washington State licenses for Life, Disability and Long-Term Care insurance and as a Real Estate Broker. He has been a Business Banking Loan Officer with WECU for the last 10 years having served on various non-profit boards and foundations. He is active with WWU Athletics providing mentorship to the Men’s Basketball team helping with job shadows, internships and job placement.

- Mon-Fri, 7:00am-4:30pm: both a WWU permit and state disability placard are needed.
- Purchase your permit at the pay stations in lot C or 6V or use the Parkmobile app (use Zone 1200). This allows parking in any disability space. If these are full, you can use a non-reserved space nearby.
