We want to see you become active too.  

Join us anytime between September 7th -September 20th and complete a 5K.

Join the Western community for a fun, active opportunity to support the Western Welcome Scholarship Fund, and win prizes! 

You will have 2 weeks, between September 7th - September 20th to complete 5 kilometres (3.1 miles), in any location and format you choose! Get started: 

1. Register. You will receive a custom race bib to print out at home! Take a picture with your bib, and  email it to alumni@wwu.edu with your name and where you finished your 5K. 

All registrants will receive an exclusive 2026 Viking 5K t-shirt!! The t-shirt will be mailed after September 21st.

2. Invite friends to join you, share this invitation, within and beyond the Western community!
3. Complete your race. Submit your results by email or online, with or without a time included.

4. WIN! There are 2 opportunities to win a prize giveaway. Enter yourself in one or both! All participants who upload their results via the RunSignUp platform will be entered into a random drawing for a giveaway!  All participants who submit a photo to alumni@wwu.edu of them with their bib including their name and location they completed their 5K will also be entered into a random drawing for giveaway! 

Help raise support for Student Scholarships. Invite others to support the Fund. 100% of every dollar raised through your registration fee and fundraising will go to a Scholarship Fund!
